Description
Welcome to Clay Dough Cutters! We are delighted that you found our store.
The Transfer Paper measures approximately 5" x 4" .
To ensure successful transfer of the design onto clay, please carefully follow the instructions below. Failure to do so may result in distortion or loss of the design.
GETTING STARTED:
Condition the clay and roll it onto a tile surface, ensuring it is firmly stuck using an acrylic roller.
Place the transfer paper with the colored/printed side facing down onto the clay slab. Roll over the transfer paper gently with the acrylic roller to ensure it is completely stuck to the clay without any air bubbles or lifting corners.
DISSOLVING THE PAPER:
Hold the tile with the clay slab under low-pressure running water from your sink faucet.
The paper will begin to dissolve, and you should gently rub away the remaining paper with your fingers until a smooth texture is achieved. Avoid applying too much pressure as this may distort the design.
POST IMAGE TRANSFER:
Allow the clay slab to dry completely before cutting. Do not cure the clay until it is dry. Use a paper towel to gently dab the clay slab to remove excess water, but do not apply pressure.
Once the clay slab is dry, cut and bake it as usual. Please note that colors may slightly change during baking, and we recommend using white or light-colored clay for the most accurate results.
SEALING THE DESIGN:
To increase the durability of the transferred design, we recommend sealing your finished piece with resin for a shiny finish or any matte sealant for a matte finish.
